What is a damp and timber report?

They are specialist reports usually requested by your mortgage lender to ensure the property you are buying is free from excessive damp, woodworm and wood rot. The report will highlight any potential issues with the property prior to purchase providing you the costs of the repair work and potentially negotiate a better deal with the seller.

A Damp Cure report includes:

 Surveyor Visit– A fully trained surveyor will conduct a thorough inspection  and survey of the property highlighting any problems that they have detected.

 Written Report- A  full written report will be sent to you or your estate agent outlining any issues highlighted on the day of the inspection and advising on an appropriate course of action and the costs of doing this.
